How it works
  1. 01

    setup

    The human owner of record — explicitly not the agent — a machine id, and local config. One command, no account.

  2. 02

    narrate

    The agent's journal, run cards, and evidence live in the repo's .wenmei/. Work is narrated as it happens, not reconstructed after.

  3. 03

    build

    Evidence becomes a chain root: one canonical JSON, rendered views, hashes pinned. dossier build — free, local, offline.

  4. 04

    anchor

    The chain root is signed by an independent witness; a receipt and a keyless verify link come back. Anyone can check it, forever.

Honesty as a feature
tamper-evident · not tamper-proof

A dossier never hides its own limits. Integrity is a local hash chain — evident against a third party who received the root, not proof against whoever controls the disk. That gap is stated on every page, never collapsed into a footnote.

Failed attempts stay on the page. The process record keeps attempt one's failure next to attempt two's pass, and gaps are listed verbatim — nothing is smoothed over.

Any dossier can be checked by anyone, without a Wenmei account. The recipient recomputes the chain from the ledger and compares it to the claimed root — nothing needs to be trusted by name.

Not third-party attested

This page's own dossier is a free-user dossier: tamper-evident, not yet third-party attested. Its chain root exists only on the generating machine — the honest state before anchoring.
